Noodles with Pea And Bacon Sauce

225 g/8 oz smoked back bacon, derinded and
chopped
1 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon chopped mixed fresh herbs
450 g/1 lb frozen peas
100 ml/4 floz chicken stock
225 g/8 oz dried egg noodles
600 ml/1 pint boiling water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
salt
freshly ground black pepper 150ml/’/4 pint single cream
Place the bacon in a casserole dish. Cover and cook on FULL (100%) for 7 minutes, stirring once. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on absorbent kitchen paper.
Stir the onion and herbs into the bacon fat, blending well. Cover and cook on FULL (100%) for 3 minutes, stirring once. Add the peas and stock, blending well. Cover and cook on FULL (100%) for 10 minutes, stirring once. Set aside.
Place the noodles in a bowl with the boiling water, oil and a pinch of salt. Cover and cook on *”ULL (100%) for 6 minutes, stirring once. Leave to STAND while preparing the sauce.
